Alongside the in-ceiling AV installation in the living room as shown in Invisible Speakers this Georgian home is also having a fully integrated Rako lighting system, multi-room audio system, cctv, TV aerial and satellite installation alongside TV points in several rooms, data points for direct access to the whole system as well as Wireless Access Points (extended WiFi) and a home-automation control system. It’s near enough what we call a complete project that combines all of the services we offer for one unified system across the property. For future maintenance purposes this makes it a lot easier for the client and ourselves as you only need to deal with one company that has a complete understanding of everything. This eliminates the prospect of any issues that arise due to a cross over between different services and guarantees all works are carried out to a high standard.
There’s no doubt that a project like this is pretty complex. We really enjoy putting together a complete system such as this and we feel a huge sense of pride and satisfaction when it’s done. In this case, we’ve still quite a few weeks to go yet as we’re still in the ‘1st Fixing’ stage which is essentially the groundwork, laying the foundations for the equipment that is installed during the ‘2nd fixing’ stage.
This video will give you an insight into this particular project across all four floors of a Georgian home. At this point we are planning the cable routes through the walls and floorboards reaching every light switch, TV point and speaker that the client has asked for. We’ll be working alongside a team of builders, plumbers and electricians who are also contributing towards the renovation and refurbishment of this property. It’s dirty work and when we say dirty, we mean really dirty! Centuries of dust pile out of the walls and ceilings as we faced with the challenge of installing a modern system into a building that was constructed in the 1700s. Out with the old – in with the new!
