Luxury Hi-Fi
I have had a lifelong passion for hi-fi and music. My Hi-Fi journey began at around age 12 playing with my parents Hi-Fi. I bought my first Hi-Fi at the age of 15 and read every available Hi-Fi magazine cover to cover and soon built up a wealth of product knowledge. I bought, listened to and read about Hi-Fi consistently over the subsequent five or six years whilst studying for my A-levels and degree.
I was offered my first job in the industry during the final year of my degree, so the moment I graduated I walked in to a job in a high end Hi-Fi shop. I have worked in the industry every day since. That was nearly 25 years ago now.
This prolonged exposure to the Hi-Fi industry has meant I have seen technology come and go as well as evolve into maturity. I feel this gives me a unique ability to sort marketing from innovation and help guide my clients to wise and fulfilling purchases.
It is a real art to balance a Hi-Fi system in terms of detail and realism with emotion and musicality, to decipher short term impressions with long term satisfaction. Add to this differences in taste, hearing, environment and budget and purchasing Hi-Fi can be a real minefield. I pride myself on guiding clients through this process and journey in a fun, enjoyable and rewarding way. A well put together Hi-Fi can evoke incredible emotion. Part of the evolution of the Hi-Fi industry has been the proliferation of home cinema. At Hidden Home we build some of the most beautiful, luxurious, cosy and inviting high-performance rooms to watch films in.
As a byproduct of this I have come to acknowledge, appreciate and understand firsthand the huge benefits a well-designed environment has on the performance and enjoyment of an audio system. The rooms need to be a comfortable, inviting, pleasant places to be. Many aspects influence this, not least, interior design, lighting design, ergonomics and acoustics.
