Overview
This is Lyngdorf’s official stack insert for the BW-20 — the part specified when two of the boundary woofers are stacked to scale bass output for a larger room. A small component with one job: making a stacked pair a proper, stable system rather than one cabinet balanced on another.
About the BW-20
The BW-20 is Lyngdorf’s passive boundary woofer — a closed MDF cabinet housing two 12-inch long-throw drivers with ±20mm excursion, 67mm voice coils, aluminium cones, double spiders and vented magnets. It spans 19–500Hz (-3dB), handles 700W (IEC) into its 4-ohm load and reaches 118dB maximum SPL. Boundary placement — against the wall — is the design’s point: bass launched from the boundary avoids the delayed reflections that muddy conventional subwoofer placement.
Why stack
Larger rooms need more bass capability, and Lyngdorf’s answer is more woofer: stacking BW-20s raises output while keeping the boundary-woofer geometry intact. This insert is the genuine part for that configuration.
Fit & use
Specify one insert per stacked pair as part of the system design — we confirm the exact parts list for any stacked configuration before ordering, as installations differ.
Who it’s for
Owners and specifiers of BW-20-based bass systems — typically serious dedicated cinemas and large listening rooms built on the wider Lyngdorf range.
Why buy from Hidden Home Technology
