This is the dedicated stand for the Sonus Faber Guarneri, the celebrated stand-mount loudspeaker from the Homage collection. Made entirely in carbon fibre, it is designed exclusively for the Guarneri and treated as an integral part of the loudspeaker rather than a separate accessory, positioning the speaker at the correct height and coupling it firmly to the floor.
The stand is a carbon-fibre monocoque with the marque’s iconic curved outline. Much lighter and more acoustically transparent than the metal stands it succeeds, it still delivers maximum structural strength. It is the product of Sonus Faber’s work with composite materials, developed through the company’s collaboration with Pagani Automobili and the creation of its Ex3ma project.
To keep resonance to a minimum, the hollow interior of the stand is acoustically treated and filled with an amorphous damping material. The result is a rigid, well-damped support that lets the Guarneri perform as intended, holding the loudspeaker steady and draining vibration away rather than colouring the sound.
The stand is finished in carbon fibre and shaped to complement the lines of the Guarneri, so speaker and stand read as a single object. It is designed to work synergistically with the Guarneri G5, combining structural rigidity with acoustic transparency as part of the complete system.
Carbon fibre is chosen for its exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio, allowing a slender, sculptural form without sacrificing rigidity. The acoustically treated, amorphous-filled interior addresses the resonances that would otherwise build up inside a hollow structure — the same composite expertise Sonus Faber has drawn from its automotive collaboration.
