The 603 S3 is the largest loudspeaker in the 600 Series and is ideal for larger rooms and home theaters. It combines our new Titanium Dome™ tweeter with the accuracy and transparency of our acclaimed Continuum™ cone FST™ midrange driver.
The 603 S3 is the 600 Series floorstander we tend to look at when a room needs proper scale without stepping into larger, more demanding loudspeakers. In a typical Bath living room or media room, it works well as a front left and right pair for serious stereo listening, or as the main channels in a cinema system where the front three are matched with a compatible Bowers & Wilkins centre speaker. Its two bass drivers give it useful authority, but we still specify subwoofers where film soundtracks and room correction demand more controlled low-end extension. Setup matters: the 603 S3 benefits from careful spacing from rear and side walls, modest toe-in, and an amplifier or AV receiver with enough grip to keep the bass clean rather than simply loud. During installation we also pay attention to terminal configuration, cable routing and, in cinema rooms, level, distance and crossover calibration so the speaker integrates properly with the centre, surrounds and subwoofer. Compared with the smaller 606 S3 standmount, the 603 S3 is the better choice where you want a fuller presentation and have the floor space to place it correctly; the 606 S3 remains useful where furniture, sightlines or room size take priority.
