Design & build

The TDAI-1120 is a compact half-width component designed to sit unobtrusively yet act as the hub of a system. Its fully digital signal path keeps the electronics simple and efficient, and a module slot allows the amplifier to be tailored — either with a high-end analogue board including an MM phono stage and balanced XLR input, or an HDMI 2.1 board for additional connectivity.

Sound & performance

Amplification is 100% digital, with the digital signal driving the speakers directly and no sound-degrading digital-to-analogue conversion in the main path. The output stage is rated at 2 × 60W RMS into 8 ohms and 2 × 120W RMS into 4 ohms, and can deliver up to 30 amperes of current — giving a clean, controlled grip on real-world loudspeakers.

RoomPerfect room correction measures and corrects for the room’s effect on sound, giving optimal frequency response, level alignment and bass management without extensive acoustic treatment. Technology
