Overview
The NET1 is Innuos‘ entry-level audiophile network switch and the natural network partner to the Stream 1. A standard router or office switch feeds a streamer with a noisy, loosely timed signal; a purpose-built audio switch is designed to do the opposite, giving the streamer a cleaner and more precisely clocked network connection. NET1 brings that idea to the entry level of the Innuos range for the first time.
Design & build
NET1 is built around the custom low-noise board and 3ppb OCXO clock architecture of the PhoenixNET, the switch it succeeds at the entry level, in a compact chassis designed to match the Stream 1 and the LPS1 power supply. Innuos designed it in-house so that the three units form a tidy stack that can be built up over time.
Upgrade path
Like the Stream 1, the NET1 can be upgraded with the LPS1 linear power supply. Innuos designed the LPS1 to power both a Stream 1 and a NET1 at the same time, so one power supply serves the whole stack.
