Lyngdorf’s compact FR-1 loudspeaker in matte white with a grey Gabriel® fabric cover — true 50Hz bass from a wall-friendly cabinet with an 8-inch passive radiator inside.
The FR-1 is the compact model in Lyngdorf’s full-range loudspeaker family — a two-way design with a large passive radiator that produces real bass from a cabinet happy against a wall or on furniture. This version comes in matte white, supplied with a grey Gabriel® fabric cover that softens it beautifully into pale interiors.
The matte white finish suits bright, modern rooms, and the included grey fabric cover — woven by Gabriel of Denmark, textile specialists since 1851 — lets the speaker present as soft furnishing rather than electronics. Wall mounting is designed in: the cabinet offers wall-mount placement options and is prepared for alternative brackets with M4 bushings.
Frequency response runs from 50Hz to 20,000Hz (-3dB) — genuinely deep for the size — with sensitivity of 89dB (2.83V/1m) into a nominal 4-ohm load and power handling of 100 watts. The FR-1 goes loud easily and keeps its composure there.
A 1-inch textile soft-dome tweeter with PTC overload protection crosses over at 2.2kHz to a 6.5-inch aluminium-cone midrange driver with a 35mm voice coil. Below them, an 8-inch passive radiator extends the bass response without a port — the trick behind the FR-1’s low-end reach.
Passive-radiator loading gives the FR-1 depth without port chuff, and the driver engineering — aluminium cones, generous voice coils, protected tweeter — comes straight from Lyngdorf’s wider range. Partnered with a RoomPerfect™-equipped Lyngdorf amplifier, speaker and room are calibrated together.
