Overview

This top configuration of the Lyngdorf MP-60 2.1 combines the AES67 audio-over-IP board with the AES3 digital output board — networked digital audio in and out, plus a hard-wired 16-channel digital feed for the amplification chain. It is the MP-60 specified as pure digital infrastructure, with Lyngdorf’s RoomPerfect™ correction at its centre. The 4U rack-mounting kit is included.

The fitted I/O options

The AES67 board provides 16 channels of audio-over-IP input and output on RJ45 — input to 32-bit/192kHz, output at 24-bit/48kHz — integrating the processor with digital cinema servers and networked audio systems over standard infrastructure. The AES3 board adds a 16-channel AES/EBU digital output on DB-25 at 24-bit with selectable 48kHz or 96kHz sampling, feeding digital amplifiers or processors directly.

Sound & performance

Decoding is native 16-channel Dolby Atmos®, DTS:X® Pro and AURO-3D®, joined by Dolby Surround, DTS Neural:X and AURO-MATIC® upmixing. The 16 balanced XLR analogue outputs remain on board for hybrid designs. Reference-grade measured performance: ±0.5dB from 20Hz to 20kHz, THD no higher than 0.005%.

Key features

Five HDMI 2.1 inputs (one eARC) and two outputs carry video with eARC, Dynamic Lip-Sync and Quick Media Switching. Conventional digital inputs — AES/EBU, three coaxial, four optical, USB audio — and the XLR RoomPerfect microphone input complete the panel. The built-in web interface maps all sixteen channels intelligently across this unusually rich set of connections.

Technology

AES67 is the open interoperability standard for audio-over-IP; AES3 is the professional standard for point-to-point digital audio. Fitting both means the MP-60 can receive from a networked cinema server and hand its corrected output onward digitally — conversion deferred to the final link, RoomPerfect applied once, perfectly, in between.
