Mola Mola Perca Stereo Power Amplifier

Description

Perca is a two-channel power amplifier for driving passive speakers from a suitable preamplifier or variable-output source. Its half-width chassis houses Mola Mola’s Trajectum Class D amplifier platform with separate Class A input stages.

What it needs upstream

Perca is not an integrated amplifier: it has no music streamer, DAC, phono stage or everyday listening-volume control. Partner it with Makua, a correctly configured variable-output Tambaqui, or the Grimm MU2.

Connections, gain and speaker matching

Selectable balanced XLR and single-ended inputs accommodate different sources. The 22dB/28dB gain choice helps match source output and system sensitivity; it does not replace volume control. Furutech speaker terminals and an on/off trigger connection support a tidy installation. Check speaker impedance, sensitivity and required listening levels when choosing amplification.

A compact digital separates system

One recommended route is Grimm MU1 → Tambaqui DAC → Perca → passive speakers. MU1 provides server and digital-output duties, Tambaqui handles conversion and listening volume, and Perca supplies speaker power. Configure the DAC output level before use.

Perca or Kula?
