Description
Kula brings analogue source control and stereo power amplification together in one chassis. It is the Mola Mola option for a passive-speaker system where you want fewer boxes than a separate Makua preamplifier and power amplifier.
Power and analogue connections
The amplifier delivers 2 × 150W into 8 ohms or 2 × 300W into 4 ohms. Three balanced and three unbalanced connections are selectable by switch and software. Speaker suitability depends on sensitivity, impedance, room size and listening level, not just the power rating.
Choose digital and vinyl options deliberately
The optional DAC board adds digital conversion and Roon Ready playback; it is not part of the base analogue amplifier. Roon playback needs a separate Roon Server and licence. The optional phono board provides adjustable MM/MC cartridge settings. Confirm which modules are fitted to the quoted unit.
Integrated or separates?
Choose Kula for amplification and source control in one box. Choose Makua plus Perca when separate components suit your system. If you already own a standalone Tambaqui DAC, its analogue output can feed a suitable Kula line input; an internal DAC is not required for that connection.
