Connect digital sources to Tambaqui and its variable XLR outputs to a suitable power amplifier. Set the output level and volume-control arrangement before playback. The Mola Mola Perca is one stereo power-amplifier option; speaker matching still matters.
We recommend the Mola Mola Tambaqui as a great partner for the Grimm Audio MU1. Connect the MU1’s AES/EBU digital output to the Tambaqui’s AES/EBU input using a suitable 110-ohm digital XLR cable. The MU1 handles music-server duties and digital processing; the Tambaqui converts the digital signal to analogue for your amplifier. The DAC is purchased separately from the MU1. A turntable cannot connect directly to Tambaqui. Even with a phono stage, an analogue input is still needed elsewhere in the system. Choose Makua for analogue source switching, or consider the MU2 streamer/DAC/preamplifier if you want that function integrated with a music server.
