PHASE COHERENT CROSSOVER
Phase Coherent Crossover is designed to deliver immersive, three-dimensional sound throughout the room. The hand soldered high-end custom spec capacitors and inductors create sonic clarity while handling high power levels and lowering the noise floor.
DAMPED APEX DOME TWEETER
A standard soft dome tweeter’s apex anti-phase behavior is responsible for early high-frequency roll-off. The D.A.D. tweeter ensures better high-frequency reproduction by dampening the apex of the silk soft dome tweeter, avoiding anti-phase behavior. The silk-dome tweeter echoes the precision and musicality of Giuseppe Guarneri’s instruments, contributing to the speakers’ clear and harmonious audio quality.
STEALTH ULTRAFLEX
Thanks to its design, the Stealth Ultraflex— functioning as the exponential section of the duct — improves the aerodynamic flow of the air stream emitted by the reflex ducts and is an integral part of the system. The extruded aluminum parts give further structural rigidity to the cabinet and now come in a beautiful deep gray brushed aluminum finish.

The Hidden Home view: Sonus faber Guarneri G5
The Guarneri is a speaker close to my heart. I love it dearly and I would highly recommend it to the right client. It is the stand speaker in Sonus faber’s Homage range and this is the fifth generation, with the lute-shaped cabinet the Guarneri has had from the start.
hi-fi+ reviewed it in May 2024 and its reviewer called it his favourite Sonus faber speaker to look at. He found bass with “a heft that would have seemed downright improbable to those familiar with its ancestors” and a sound he called “startlingly dynamic and genuinely exciting”. His conclusion was “a truly exceptional speaker” for anyone able to play it at healthy levels.
It is worth knowing that the same review found it held back at low volume and at its best with the volume opened up, and that it wants a reasonable amount of power. I have pushed a pair very hard myself and at torture-test volume I did hear the port.
So it suits someone who listens at a healthy level and wants a speaker that is as good to look at as it is to hear. hi-fi+ expects most pairs to go on Sonus faber’s own stand, which is made for it. Call us and we will talk through your room and the amplifier to put with it.
