The Insight Series P6i is a point-source in-wall loudspeaker from Wisdom Audio, a maker known for bringing planar-magnetic technology into architectural installation. It combines the detail and dynamics of a planar driver with the low-frequency reach of conventional woofers in a slim in-wall or in-ceiling design, for uncompromised sound that remains almost invisible in the room.
The P6i is a genuinely slim architectural loudspeaker, measuring 51.7 × 5.52 × 3.43 inches (131 × 13.7 × 8.7 cm), so it fits into a standard wall or ceiling cavity and disappears behind a custom-length grille. It can be installed in either vertical or horizontal orientation, giving flexibility across rooms and screen layouts.
A planar-magnetic MTM (midwoofer-tweeter-midwoofer) array handles the midrange and treble, avoiding the dynamic compression that affects many conventional in-wall designs, and delivering even, wide horizontal dispersion. Six 3 × 5-inch woofers provide the low end. Quoted frequency response is 80Hz–20kHz, with sensitivity of 90dB (2.83V/1m) and a maximum output of 116dB at one metre.
The P6i pairs planar-magnetic MTM drivers with six dynamic woofers for full-range performance, with a crossover at 600Hz and a −6dB dispersion pattern of 60° horizontal by 30° vertical.
