The Sage Cinema Point 3 GT is a high-output point-source cinema loudspeaker from Wisdom Audio, part of the Sage Cinema Series designed for dedicated home theatres. It pairs an all-new MTM planar magnetic driver with dual 8-inch woofers, and was engineered by the celebrated loudspeaker designer Greg Timbers for scale, dynamics and accuracy behind or beside the screen.
Built for architectural cinema installation, the Point 3 GT can be mounted in-wall, on-wall or in-ceiling, horizontally or vertically, and is compatible with acoustically transparent screens and fabric walls. The MTM (midrange–tweeter–midrange) arrangement places the planar driver between the woofers for symmetrical vertical dispersion and stable imaging across the seating area.
The Point 3 GT is built for the demands of cinema: quoted frequency response is 60Hz–20kHz (±2dB), sensitivity is 90dB (2.83V, 1m) into a 6-ohm load, and continuous power handling is 375W. As a Sage Cinema speaker it is optimised for use with subwoofers, handing over the lowest frequencies so it can play cleanly and loudly across the range that matters most for dialogue and effects.
The driver complement is a single high-output MTM planar magnetic driver flanked by two 8-inch woofers. A passive crossover network allows the speaker to be driven from a single channel of amplification, simplifying installation, and the in-wall / on-wall / in-ceiling mounting options make it adaptable to almost any cinema layout.
The planar magnetic driver incorporates Wisdom’s patent-pending HEMA — Heat Extraction Motor Assembly — which manages heat to support sustained high output. The thin-film planar driver delivers the resolution and dispersion Wisdom is known for, while Greg Timbers’ passive network engineering makes that performance available from a conventional single-channel amplifier.
