Overview

The Statement is the flagship music server and streamer from Innuos, an all-out effort to extract the finest replay from stored and streamed digital audio. In its Next-Generation form it adds custom power modules and vibration control to an already uncompromising design, serving as both a ripping/storage server and a network streamer in one component.

Design & build

The Statement is housed in a 10mm-thick CNC-machined aluminium casing that shields against external interference and damps vibration. It comes as a two-box system: a server chassis (420 × 352 × 88mm, 8.2kg) and a separate power supply (420 × 352 × 102mm, 16.4kg). The design sits on an Adaptive Vibration Control platform combining Panzerholz wood with a density-matched gel layer.

Sound & performance

Central to the Statement’s performance is its power architecture: eight independent rails feed each critical section separately, preventing cross-contamination, with dedicated supplies for the clock circuits. The Next-Generation update introduces two custom ARC6 rectifier modules, each with a DC choke and six Mundorf capacitors, alongside Audio Note Kaisei capacitors on every rail — all aimed at the lowest possible noise floor.

Key features

The Statement provides a re-clocked USB output and a dedicated, re-clocked Ethernet streamer port, supporting resolutions to 32-bit/768kHz PCM and DSD to DSD512. Storage is available in 1TB, 2TB, 4TB or 8TB solid-state options. A TEAC slot-loading CD drive rips discs with metadata lookup, and two bridged Gigabit Ethernet ports handle networking.

Technology

Timing is handled by high-precision oven-controlled crystal oscillators (OCXO) rated to three parts per billion, with separate clocks for the USB and Ethernet paths and custom re-clocking to lower phase noise. The server runs as a Roon Core and Bridge and supports UPnP, Qobuz, Tidal, Deezer and more, controlled through the Innuos Sense app. The double-enclosure layout keeps the noisy computing section apart from the audio circuitry.
