This is Petrol Blue — the deepest colour in the FR-1’s official Gabriel® cover range. It is the official replacement and restyling cover for the Lyngdorf FR-1 loudspeaker — one of five Gabriel® colours Lyngdorf offers, so the speaker can change clothes when the room does.
Colour & character
A rich blue-green with real depth, Petrol Blue lifts the FR-1 from appliance to accessory. It flatters both cabinet colours — moody over black, striking over white — and keys beautifully into the blues and greens of contemporary interiors.
The fabric
Gabriel of Denmark has woven textiles since 1851 and supplies the covers across Lyngdorf’s loudspeaker ranges — furniture-quality cloth designed to be seen and touched, not the disposable grille sock of ordinary speakers.
Fit & use
Tailored to the FR-1’s cabinet, the cover fits the speaker it was made for — nothing generic, no compromise to the sound. Swapping takes moments, which is rather the point: a new colour is the cheapest redecoration your system will ever get.
