Description

The Lyngdorf MP-60 2.1 handles surround decoding, source switching and RoomPerfect room correction at the centre of a home cinema system. It is a processor, not an AV receiver with built-in speaker amplification: pair it with suitable power amplifiers or compatible active loudspeakers.

The MP-60 2.1 provides up to 16 decoding channels and 16 balanced XLR outputs. Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro and AURO-3D are supported; Lyngdorf specifies 14 channels for DTS:X Pro and AURO-3D. Match the proposed speaker layout to the format and routing requirements, not just the number of output sockets.

HDMI, television audio and source connections

5 HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs support HDMI 2.1 video switching. The platform supports 8K video, 4K high-frame-rate video and eARC for audio returned from a compatible television. Actual operation depends on the source, display, signal format and cables. Digital audio inputs also include AES/EBU, coaxial, optical and USB audio.

RoomPerfect as part of the cinema design

RoomPerfect measures the installed speaker system in the room and applies correction. Speaker positioning, subwoofer integration, amplification and acoustic treatment remain part of the design.
