Overview

The MP-60 2.1 is Lyngdorf’s flagship surround sound processor — the heart of a reference home cinema. It decodes up to 16 native channels of immersive audio and pairs them with RoomPerfect™, Lyngdorf’s celebrated room-correction system, so the theatre you hear is the one the mixing stage intended. This version is supplied with the 4U rack-mounting kit for a clean, professional installation.

Design & build

Built in Denmark to Lyngdorf’s exacting standard, the MP-60 presents a restrained fascia over serious engineering. The 2.1 designation reflects the current HDMI 2.1 video platform, and the included rack hardware fixes the processor securely in a standard 19-inch equipment rack alongside the rest of the system.

Sound & performance

All the current immersive formats are here: Dolby Atmos®, DTS:X® Pro and AURO-3D®, decoded natively across 16 channels and delivered through 16 balanced XLR outputs. Quoted frequency response is ±0.5dB from 20Hz to 20kHz with maximum total harmonic distortion of just 0.005% — vanishingly low colouration for a multichannel processor.

Key features

Five HDMI inputs (one with eARC) and two outputs support eARC, Dynamic Lip-Sync and Quick Media Switching. Digital audio inputs run to an AES/EBU connection, three coaxial and four optical S/PDIF inputs plus USB audio, and a dedicated XLR microphone input serves the RoomPerfect calibration. Dolby Surround, DTS Neural:X and AURO-MATIC® upmixing bring stereo and legacy surround material into the full speaker layout.

Technology

RoomPerfect measures the room from multiple positions and corrects the speaker system to it — not just at one seat, but across the listening area. Channel mapping is handled intelligently through the processor’s own web interface, so complex layouts and active crossovers can be configured without guesswork.
