Overview

The TDAI-3400 is the reference streaming integrated amplifier from Lyngdorf Audio, the Danish brand built around its RoomPerfect room-correction technology. It brings high-power digital amplification, streaming, a modular input platform and full room correction together in one chassis, intended as a complete high-end system in a single box.

Design & build

The TDAI-3400 is a full-width unit finished in matte black, measuring 45 × 10.5 × 36 cm and weighing 8.2kg. Its efficient digital amplification runs without cooling fans, and the modular input architecture lets the amplifier be configured — and later reconfigured — to suit the system around it.

Sound & performance

Power is rated at 2 × 400W into 4 ohms and 2 × 200W into 8 ohms, with a maximum output current of 40A — ample authority for demanding loudspeakers. Frequency response is quoted at ±0.5dB (20Hz–20kHz) and THD at 0.05% maximum. The defining feature is RoomPerfect, which measures and corrects the room’s effect on the loudspeakers.

Technology

RoomPerfect corrects room-induced problems in the digital domain using a calibration microphone, without otherwise linearising the sound, and is managed through the My Lyngdorf app. The amplifier is Roon Ready and supports Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect with MQA, AirPlay 2, DLNA/UPnP and internet radio, so streaming is built in rather than bolted on.
