The SignatureX Tuned ARAY analogue RCA is a reference-level interconnect from The Chord Company, the English cable specialist. It is designed to carry a line-level analogue signal — from a streamer, DAC, CD player or preamplifier — to the next component in the chain with as little added noise or distortion as possible, and sits near the top of the Signature family, hand-built in the United Kingdom.
The cable uses separately shielded silver-plated oxygen-free copper conductors, and is terminated with ultra-low-mass RCA connectors whose contact areas are ChorAlloy plated and whose plugs use a precision PTFE surround. A zero-compression strain-relief system holds everything in place without squeezing the cable, avoiding the small changes in impedance that clamping can introduce.
The combination of Tuned ARAY conductor geometry, modern XLPE insulation and dual high-density braided shielding is aimed at a clean, low-noise signal transfer with a natural, detailed presentation. The shielding is effective to very high frequencies, which helps keep out the interference that can otherwise mask fine detail in a revealing system.
