Description
One bar. Real Atmos.
The Bluesound Pulse Cinema is the soundbar that takes “soundbar” off the table as a compromise. A true 3.2.2 array: left, centre, right, two upfiring channels and two woofers. 500W across sixteen engineered drivers. Dolby Atmos is decoded inside the bar. No separate AV receiver or processor. Just an HDMI eARC cable to the TV.
3.2.2 channel architecture, 16 drivers
- Left / Centre / Right / Two upfiring — each with a 21mm tweeter and a 44 × 75mm mid-range (38W each)
- Two 102mm woofers (65W each) for the .2 low-end
- Four 102mm passive radiators for low-frequency extension
Five separately-engineered speaker stacks plus the dedicated woofers and passive radiators. The result is real Atmos imaging from a single 1200mm bar. Discrete left/right separation. A centre that anchors dialogue. Overhead cues that actually feel above rather than virtualised in.
Dolby Atmos, decoded inside the bar
Full Atmos decoding handled internally. Connect the TV via HDMI eARC. The Cinema receives and decodes Atmos from Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, Apple TV+ and any other Atmos-capable source on the TV side. No separate AV receiver. No separate processor. No rack space committed.
Growth path
Add a Bluesound Pulse Sub+ wirelessly for a 3.3.2 system with proper sub-30Hz extension. Add two Bluesound Pulse Flex 2i as wireless rear surrounds for a full 5.3.2 setup. The Pulse Cinema is the front of the room. Everything else pairs in over BluOS.
BluOS streaming
23+ supported services through BluOS. The Cinema is Roon Ready. It drops straight into an existing Roon Server as a multi-room endpoint.
Custom-install integration
Native control drivers for Control4, Crestron and RTI. The Cinema integrates as a controllable zone in any current custom-install system without requiring a separate AV receiver in the rack.
Why we recommend it
If your TV is 65″ or larger and you want proper Atmos imaging without committing to a separate AV receiver, the Pulse Cinema is one of the cleanest answers on the UK market. The full 3.2.2 array genuinely outperforms most 7.1.4 receiver-and-speaker setups for the typical UK living room. We covered the broader Bluesound case in our Bluesound vs Sonos custom installer view.
