The NET3 is Innuos‘ enthusiast-level audiophile network switch, built as the network partner to the Stream 3. It shares that server’s full-sized chassis and power-supply philosophy, and Innuos position it as the natural successor to the PhoenixNET, at a higher level of performance.
NET3 is housed in a full-width 10mm CNC-machined aluminium chassis with vibration-damping feet and toroidal isolation, designed as a visual and engineering match for the Stream 3. Inside is an internal linear power supply with Mundorf capacitors, a large toroidal transformer and twin CX power regulator modules, delivering clean, independent power to the 3ppb OCXO clock and to the network board.
The network board is the WaveNET, trickled down from the flagship NazaréNET. It adds an SFP fibre port, which lets the network be broken optically before it reaches the audio system, and runs customised firmware for ultra-low-noise operation once the switch has booted.
