Marten – Dexter Series – Quartet

Description

The Dexter Quartet is part of Marten’s new Dexter range, which sits above the Parker series in the Swedish manufacturer’s line-up. It is built around Marten’s pure diamond tweeter — a driver developed during the Coltrane Supreme project — in a 3-way floorstanding configuration using 1 x 3.5″ ceramic midrange + 1 x 9.5″ carbon-fibre bass.

At its heart is Marten’s new M-Core cabinet: a three-layer construction engineered to suppress resonance and keep the enclosure acoustically inert. Low frequencies are handled by the new Loaded Reflex Line system — a hybrid of bass-reflex and transmission-line loading using a shaped internal channel and a wide downward-facing slot port. Internal wiring is Jorma Duality throughout, and every Dexter is designed and hand-built at the Marten factory in Sweden.

Compared with the Parker range it sits above, Dexter introduces the pure diamond tweeter, the M-Core cabinet and the Loaded Reflex Line port system in place of Parker’s passive-radiator loading.

A Statement Edition upgrade is available, adding Jorma Statement internal wiring and an upgraded crossover.
