An in-wall point-source loudspeaker from Wisdom Audio’s Sage Series, the P20i pairs a planar-magnetic driver with twin woofers to deliver reference performance from a slim architectural design that disappears into the wall.
The Sage P20i is the in-wall model in Wisdom Audio‘s Sage point-source range — a bi-amplified planar-magnetic hybrid built to bring reference-grade sound to rooms where the loudspeaker must vanish into the architecture. It shares its design with the on-wall P20m and free-standing P20, and the three can be mixed and matched within a single system.
The P20i is slim and architectural, sitting flush in the wall and finishing behind an optional custom-length grille so it reads as part of the room rather than a piece of audio equipment. The cabinet measures 19.8 × 8.22 × 3.8 inches (H × W × D) and its shipping weight is 21 lb, so it delivers full-range performance from an unusually shallow enclosure.
Quoted frequency response is 40Hz–20kHz (±2dB relative to the target curve), with the planar driver covering five octaves of the range above the woofers. Sensitivity is 87dB in both sections, giving the fast, detailed and dynamic presentation for which Wisdom’s planar hybrids are known.
A single planar-magnetic driver handles the upper five octaves, supported by two high-output woofers for bass weight from a compact in-wall enclosure. The design is bi-amplified and requires an outboard active crossover with DSP and two channels of amplification, ordered as part of the system.
The planar-magnetic driver uses a lightweight PEEK film membrane that moves as one surface, with far less inertia than a conventional cone or dome, so it responds instantly to fine detail. Because the crossover is active and DSP-based, the speaker is calibrated precisely to its position in the wall and to the room.
