Overview
This is the most completely connected AES3 configuration of the Lyngdorf MP-60 2.1: both optional AES3 boards are fitted, giving the flagship processor a DCI-compliant 16-channel digital input and a 16-channel digital output. A digital cinema server can feed it natively, and the corrected, decoded result can leave digitally too — the entire signal path held in the professional digital domain. The 4U rack mount is included.
The fitted I/O options
Input: a 16-channel DCI-compliant AES3 (AES/EBU) connection on DB-25, accepting up to 32-bit/192kHz — the native language of DCI movie servers. Output: a 16-channel AES3 feed on DB-25 at 24-bit with selectable 48kHz or 96kHz sampling, carrying every channel with RoomPerfect™ correction and bass management already applied.
Sound & performance
Native decoding spans Dolby Atmos®, DTS:X® Pro and AURO-3D® across 16 channels, with Dolby Surround, DTS Neural:X and AURO-MATIC® upmixing. Sixteen balanced XLR analogue outputs remain available alongside the digital boards. Measured performance: ±0.5dB from 20Hz to 20kHz, maximum THD 0.005%.
Key features
Video runs through five HDMI 2.1 inputs (one eARC) and two outputs, with eARC, Dynamic Lip-Sync and Quick Media Switching. The standard digital inputs — AES/EBU, three coaxial, four optical, USB audio — are all present, along with the XLR microphone input for RoomPerfect. The web interface handles channel mapping across what is, in this form, a genuinely professional matrix of I/O.
Technology
This configuration exists for reference rooms where conversion is pushed to the very last link — digital amplification or processing after the MP-60, a DCI server before it. RoomPerfect’s multi-position measurement corrects the system for the room across the whole seating area, and the result travels onward untouched at 24-bit.
