The Sonos custom-install amplifier
The Sonos Amp is the streaming amplifier we specify when a customer wants to drive existing passive speakers — in-walls, in-ceilings or freestanding — as part of a Sonos system. 125W per channel. Drives 4-ohm and 8-ohm loads cleanly. Stackable in a rack with cooling vents top and bottom.
What it does
The Amp accepts every Sonos streaming source over Wi-Fi or AirPlay 2. HDMI ARC connects it to a TV — the speakers it drives then handle TV sound. Two pairs of 5-way binding posts on the back drive any reasonable speaker pair. The subwoofer output is wired or wireless (Sonos Sub).
Where it fits
The Sonos Amp is the right answer for hidden-speaker installs in kitchens, bathrooms, gardens or any room where you want the speakers built into the walls or ceiling but the source kept in a rack.
