Description
Overview
The Olympica Center is the centre-channel speaker of the Sonus Faber Olympica Collection, now in its third generation (Olympica G3), listed in the collection as the Olympica C. Sonus faber designed it to complement an existing stereo system and to carry voices in films and TV. It takes the place of both the Olympica Nova CII and CI centres.
Design & build
It shares the lute-shaped cabinet and the finishes of the rest of the collection: hand-finished walnut or wenge, solid aluminium and leather. Sonus faber makes a matching centre stand in aluminium with stainless steel spikes, sold separately; the pictures show it on that stand.
Key features
An 18 mm DAD Arrow Point extended-frequency silk tweeter sits between a 101 mm Camelia paper-cone midrange in a sealed enclosure and two 165 mm paper-cone woofers in a vented box. Four binding posts are split Hi and Mid-Low.

Who it’s for
The Olympica Center is for a home cinema or media room built around Olympica speakers, where the centre should match the left and right in finish and in voice. It suits a front stage of Olympica V, Olympica III or Olympica I.
What we would pair it with
Sonus faber recommends 50 to 300 watts. In a cinema we would run it from a StormAudio or Trinnov processor with amplification to match the front pair.
Room and setup notes
A centre speaker works best with its tweeter close to the height of the left and right tweeters and aimed at the seats. We plan its position with the screen in the room it will live in.
Also worth considering
The Olympica V and Olympica III floorstanders and the Olympica I bookshelf model make the left and right; the on-wall Olympica Wall suits surrounds or a slim front stage. Read our piece on the new Olympica G3, and see the full range on our Sonus Faber page.
