Description
Overview
The Olympica Wall is the on-wall speaker of the Sonus Faber Olympica Collection, now in its third generation (Olympica G3), listed in the collection as the Olympica W. It is designed for music and cinema, and it takes the place of the Olympica Nova W in the range.
Design & build
It brings the lute-shaped Olympica cabinet to the wall, in hand-finished walnut or wenge with solid aluminium and leather. Sonus faber includes the mounting bracket and has optimised the speaker for placement near boundaries. Each speaker weighs 9 kg.
Key features
A 28 mm DAD Arrow Point extended-frequency silk tweeter works with a 165 mm Camelia paper-cone mid-woofer with a copper cap, in a sealed box, crossing over at 2,300 Hz. It has a single pair of binding posts.

Who it’s for
The Olympica Wall is for a room where floor space is short, or for the surrounds of a home cinema built around Olympica speakers, so that every channel matches in finish and in voice.
What we would pair it with
Sonus faber recommends 30 to 200 watts. As surrounds we would run it from a StormAudio or Trinnov processor, with the Olympica Center and a pair of Olympica floorstanders across the front.
Room and setup notes
The wall it hangs on has to carry 9 kg a speaker securely, and the cable is best planned into the wall before decoration. We survey the walls and fit the brackets as part of the installation.
Also worth considering
The Olympica I is the bookshelf model of the same collection, and the Olympica III and Olympica V its floorstanders. Read our piece on the new Olympica G3, and see the full range on our Sonus Faber page.
