705 S3’s Carbon Dome tweeter is housed in a Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top enclosure evolved from the latest generation of 800 Series Diamond. That joins a new and subtly curved baffle endowed with an all-new ‘pod’ housing for its Continuum Cone bass/midrange driver.

The 705 S3 Signature is a particularly useful loudspeaker for rooms where a full floorstander would dominate the space, but a compact speaker still needs to behave like proper hi-fi. We tend to consider it for dedicated music rooms, refined living spaces, and higher-quality media rooms where the left and right channels are doing serious work rather than simply filling background sound. On the right stands, with sensible amplification, it can form the heart of a very capable two-channel system; in a cinema context, it can also pair neatly with matching 700 Series speakers where the front three need a consistent character.
Setup matters. We pay close attention to stand choice, listening height, toe-in, distance from rear and side walls, and whether the room needs discreet acoustic treatment or carefully integrated bass support. If a subwoofer is part of the system, crossover and phase alignment are set by ear and measurement, not left to guesswork. Compared with the standard 705 S3, the Signature version is the one we look at when the room, electronics and listener justify the extra refinement; if the space needs greater scale or effortless low-end weight, we would look further up the range or towards a floorstanding option.
