AudioControl for a dedicated home cinema
The Hyperion APR-16 is a 16-channel immersive-audio preamplifier/processor supporting Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. It provides processing and source connections; suitable separate amplifiers power the speakers. We start with the room, seating and speaker layout, then specify the processing, amplification and calibration together.
A complete quotation should identify the exact channel configuration, HDMI and control requirements, current firmware and Dirac licence coverage. Our home cinema design and installation considers acoustics, speaker placement and everyday operation as well as the equipment rack.
Discreet television and networked audio
Hyperion Axis10 takes television audio over eARC and distributes decoded sound using Dante or AES67. It supports up to eight surround channels, such as 5.1.2 or 7.1, plus a simultaneous stereo downmix. It is not a ten-speaker immersive processor or a powered AV receiver: compatible network endpoints and amplification are still needed.
This can be useful where a living-room television should not be accompanied by a conventional receiver, or where television audio joins a wider multi-room system. We can help check the network, amplification, volume control and cabling before recommending a configuration.
Award-winning products, practical advice
APR-16 and Axis10 were named among CEDIA’s 2026 Best New Hardware Product winners. Read our AudioControl CEDIA awards report for the different roles they serve.
