Lyngdorf
📰 Read our launch story: Lyngdorf joins the Hidden Home Technology range — what it is, where it fits, and what RoomPerfect actually does.
If Bang & Olufsen is often chosen for design and Bose for simplicity, Lyngdorf sits in a different place: serious hi-fi engineering in a form that still works in a finished room. The brand has done the harder thing of the three — built genuinely high-end audio and then packaged it so it doesn’t take over the space.
The result is a range of integrated amplifiers, processors and loudspeakers built for homes where the room comes before the rack. The TDAI-1120 is compact enough to sit quietly on a shelf, yet capable enough to drive a properly considered pair of speakers. The TDAI-3400 takes on the role of an entire pre/power stack in a single chassis. The MP-40 and MP-60 handle dedicated home cinema processing with the same discipline. The Cue-100 floorstanders are designed to work close to the wall, which opens up serious hi-fi performance in rooms where conventional speaker placement simply would not survive contact with real life.
At the heart of Lyngdorf’s electronics is RoomPerfect — their room-correction system, and the one we genuinely enjoy running. Some room-correction systems can sound as if they are trying too hard; RoomPerfect is the rare exception that delivers a clear improvement without ever feeling heavy-handed. The Lyngdorf design philosophy is small boxes delivering far more than you’d anticipate from their physical footprint.
If you are looking for Lyngdorf in Bath, Bristol or the Cotswolds, we can design, supply, install and calibrate the system around the room you actually live in. Our Lyngdorf installation service includes RoomPerfect setup and calibration, so the system is tuned around the room rather than guessed from a drawing. We install Lyngdorf across the Home Counties too — in kitchens, snugs, dedicated listening rooms and home cinemas. It suits the brief that says “I want it to sound properly good and I don’t want to live with the rack.”
Honest installer take: if the brief is a traditional, no-visual-compromise listening room built around separates, we may still point you towards Naim, Innuos or McIntosh. But where the room matters as much as the rack — where the system has to fit the home, not dominate it — Lyngdorf is often the answer we arrive at.
